Thanksgiving is truly a special day! It was first celebrated in 1621 when the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians shared a feast. Then in 1863 President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed it a national day of thanksgiving to held each year in November!
Over the years the meaning of Thanksgiving has gone through numerous transitions! It has always been seen as a holiday that expresses gratitude, giving thanks for ourselves, our family and the less fortunate!
Your day may start out watching the Macy’s Day Parade, move on to watching Football Games and then Turkey! Oh wait, that’s my day!! LOL! Whatever you may be doing this Thanksgiving, don’t forget to pause and give thanks for all that you have and all those that you love!
