Imagine a world where the boundaries of reality are limitless, and you have the opportunity to possess a single super power. The possibilities are endless, ranging from the ability to fly through the skies like a super hero, to reading minds and figuring out the mysteries of the human brain. So many choices, what super power would you choose?
The power to soar above the clouds and get to places fast would be amazing! Seeing the world from a new vantage point would be breathtaking.
The power to read minds would open the door to really understanding the emotions of those around us. Just imagine being able to communicate with others in such a pure way full of understanding and empathy. This may not be the most politically correct thing to do, I think it would be very helpful!
The ability to heal injuries and diseases with a simple touch to people. Imagine the positive impact on the well-being of others would have in our community.
Out of all of the super powers you could choose from, I would choose time travel. The other day Melissa McCarthy, the actress, was asked a similar question, “What would she choose for a super power?” I am going to borrow her answer. Her answer was to be a time traveler, it wasn’t to go back in time to change the past. She chose this super power so that she could back in time and see her Grandmother when she was a teen, when she was in her twenties and thirties. She would be able to go back in time and see her Mom as a little girl. Melissa wanted to go back in time to spend just a few moments with those she loved most.
I too, would love to go back in time and see my Grandparents and Parents when they were young. To also, go back in time and revisit when my own kids were younger. Life has this way of moving forward so fast, we don’t always stop and appreciate the very moment we are in until it is gone.
The allure of super powers has infinite possibilities. Whether it’s the thrill of flying, reading minds, teleportation or the healing touch, each super power carries its own potential and impacts on the world. Our choices are decided on our own personal situations, wants and needs. It’s always fun to think of the what if’s…. If you could choose one super power what would you choose?
