It is the 244th celebration of Independence for the United State of America this July 4th, 2020. July 4th marks the day that the United States of America gained independence from Great Britain!
Yesterday in between making potato salad and rice krispy treats I was watching the classic movie, Independence Day! Independence Day came out in 1996 and the storyline was how aliens are coming to Earth to destroy it. Fighting technology, mankind’s best weapon is the will to survive.
This movie came out 24 years ago and I found so many freaky similarities to where we are today! Today we are fighting another Alien, Covid-19 and Racism! This Alien is destroying America and the World! In the movie they were wearing facemasks to protect themselves. Interesting how we are now wearing facemasks to protect ourselves today! In the movie the President was 100% focused on protecting America and worked with all of the countries around the World to protect the Earth against an Alien! Is that happening now? Or are we supposed to fight this Alien one town, one State at a time? Today mankind’s best weapon is the will to survive, this still holds true, 24 years later!
We have got to work together to destroy this Alien! It’s not about Republican or Democrat! It’s about being kind to each other! It’s about respecting our differences and embracing our free choices! It’s about being Human and not an Alien! It’s about our Independence!
There is no doubt that in the past 244 years the United States of America has made mistakes! Let us learn from these mistakes and move forward! Let’s not wait another 244 years to get it right! We need to destroy this Alien! If you have some time, I highly recommend watching Independence Day!
