It’s hard to believe that three years ago our lives were forever changed by the coronavirus! At Suzy’s Swirl we had just reopened because for the first time ever we closed for that winter! Our team was working really hard creating a new product to introduce to the grocery store market! Then bamb!! The world shuts down and so does Suzy’s Swirl for the second time!
I think we all have a story of how this virus affected us, for some it still is! On a personal note, my father-in-law was hospitalized with Covid-19 and still struggles with the long-term side effects of this virus! If you were lucky enough to not contract this virus, you still had to deal with the social distancing, home schooling and masking…...!
Now let’s look at present day! Where are we now? There are vaccines available for all who want to be vaccinated! It is now socially acceptable to wear a mask if you are not feeling 100% or you do not want to spread germs! To some extent we are still socially distancing from others and some are still working from home 100% of the time!
At Suzy’s Swirl we learned how to pivot, embrace online and paper orders and most importantly keep our doors open during an ever-changing world! Suzy’s Swirl is all about a great product and a great customer experience! We worked really hard for that to not falter!
Three years later, I am looking forward to the future! I have great faith in all that has been learned these past three years will make us stronger, better and more resilient! Many refer to the years of 2020-2022 as the lost years, I would rather refer to them as the years we prioritized family and health above all us! May we continue to stay healthy, thrive and once again be with friends and family!
