The holiday season is here, and for many, that means embarking on a journey to reunite with family and friends. There's a magic in the air as families come together to celebrate, reminisce and create new memories.
As I packed my bags this past weekend to enjoy an early Christmas with my family in California, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement! I was looking forward to seeing the magic of the holiday in the eyes of my grandkids and sharing big hugs with my kids!
The journey to get there was an unexpected pleasure too! I flew Southwest Airlines out of Milwaukee and it was so easy. The airport was very festive with Christmas trees and decorations galore. You couldn't help but be in the holiday spirit! There was the hustle and bustle of families traveling together, friends getting together for a quick weekend getaway and of course the regular business travelers.
Arriving at my family's doorstep was like stepping into a big hug of love! We walked through a beautiful Christmas light show in Redding, went ice skating in Chico, had delicious meals together and even had time to see Santa! The most perfect part of the trip was just being with family!
As we all travel back and forth this holiday season let us stay focused on the true meaning of the season. It's about love shared, laughter echoed and the bonds strenthened. As we make our way back to our daily lives, let's carry the warmth of these moments with us, knowing that the true magic of the holiday lies in the connections we make and the love that knows no distance
"Gonna travel, gonna travel wild and free, I'm gonna pack my bags because this great big world
is calling me". Elvis Presley
